presents competitive prizes to be won at the festival.
Flag Identification
Can your child name all or some of the 54 countries in Africa by their flag? This contest is for children ages 6-12 years old.
1st prize - $75
2nd prize - $50
3rd prize - $25
Language Literacy
Can your child ages 7-14 read and translate English to any of the top 5 African languages? (Arabic, Swahili, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo) Terms & Conditions apply

Children who are already fluent from their home country cannot participate. Only levels 1-3 proficiency can contest
Art & Creativity
Teens (13-17) will have the opportunity to show their creativity on the festival ground. Anything that promotes Africa and its culture. Examples include art or painting, live drawing, fashion sketching, spoken word, cultural craft, African-design face painting, music, dance, etc. T&Cs apply.

*Contestants must create their work or performance during the event to qualify for the prize. Also come with your own materials. Materials will not be provided.*
